This Week's Buzz with Beauty Expert Terri Tomlinson: Winter Bride - Silver-washed eyes & a red pout

Winter-brides and red lips are a perfect combo. I always picture a clear red and a "snowflake" eye. Red lips are strong and powerful, and also a beautiful contrast to the muted colors of winter....and a white dress and candlelight! Go for a clear red that matches your skin-tone, it doesn't have to be Marilyn Monroe bright. Some suggestions are Bobbi Brown's "Slopes", or Christian Dior's "Celebrity Red". (pictured above)

In order to carry off a red lip and not look overdone, keep the eyes very light and simple. This is where the "snowflake" eye comes in. A wash of silver on the lid and a bit of white under a well defined brow. Keep it soft. Your eyes will pop!

Tip: to ensure a smooth red lip application start with a lip moisturizer, fill in lips with a natural colored pencil and then apply the red with a brush. Blot and reapply.
