Magic Moments Parties and Events, Inc. will take you, your guests and your guestbook "to go boldly where no man has gone before" with their interactive virtual guestbooks. The technology and kiosks are not only new as of December 2011, but we're fairly certain there is only two of their kind in the country.
Even cooler, in addition to its touch screen capabilities, it's also an infrared sensor, which senses your skin's heat and movement without actually having to touch the screen.
"What we create and do goes hand in hand with this push towards interactive technology, and incorporating those not only into our corporate events but other types of social events," said Courtney Rai, of Magic Moments. "We’ve started to see a lot of brides take interest in them as well. So the first thing we kind of developed in September was the custom-made interactive tables, which are about bar table height."
In addition, Magic Moments had high definition, interactive guestbooks (or kiosks) created right towards then end of December of last year, which they can be used in a variety of ways.
"The cool thing about those is that they can do all the same effects as the tables (i.e. the water, rose petals, champagne bubbles, etc)," said Rai. "For weddings we can either do a photo slideshow or we can do the digital guestbook. So much like people would go and write a message in a guest book, they can now come and either record a video message for the bride and groom or take a picture and then on the next screen they can type a message using its touch screen tech."
It's the best of all worlds, acting like a photobooth, videographer, entertainment center and guestbook. Talk about an iPad-of-a-guestbook! At the end of the night it all gets saved on a flash drive, which is given to the bride and groom immediately. This is great fun for the bride and groom because they can make a night of it, perhaps on their honeymoon, to laugh at the video messages and enjoy the pictures and written images from their wedding guests.
