Friday Fun: Do it in a Library

{Photo by Sweet Little Photographs}

We died a little inside when we saw these photographs of this adorable couple, Jessica + Rob. They were high school sweethearts and wanted to take a walk down memory lane in their engagement photo sesson. In the quietness of this small library, their love for each other and goofy sides speak volumes.

They even got clever with book covers and incorporated some Hollywood classic, vintage glam with Audrey and Clark. Super adorable!

If you decide to do away with the dance floor, or even if you keep it, but still want to have a fun activity for your guests, check out this mini golf course idea! The game offers a way for guests to learn more about the couple while providing entertainment and some friendly competition.

For this couple (who came up with the idea of mini golf), what started as a "Wouldn't it be cool if..." idea became a six-hole course, made by the father of the bride, that told the their story.

What are some of your "Wouldn't it be cool if..." ideas? We say, run with them - see what you can come up with and how to make them happen!

Double Dog Dare

{Photo by Michèle M. Waite}

It's nothing new to any of us that we consider our dog(s) to be part of the family or to treat them as our "children." We dress them up, design special sleeping arrangements for them; grocery store aisles are dedicated to them with treats, toys and even frozen doggie desserts. They are always happy to see us, shower us with affection and are loyal companions; our confidents, who always agree with us.

Having your dogs, who have been alongside you during the highs and lows, with you as you exchange vows are your wedding, seems only fitting and natural. In fact, this trend is steadily growing more prevelant and popular amongst couples. There are so many ways you can incorporate your dog into your wedding and photos, like this adorable photo, we've entitled "Double Dog Dare," with the two French bulldogs peeping over the edge of the pier.

Tip: Just make sure you assign someone to watch your dog, and make sure it has plenty of water and food during the day.

Thursday's Trend: Food Truck Wedding Receptions

{Photo by Chelsey Boatwright Photography}

With spring and summer right around the corner, we are falling head over heels with the idea of having a food truck reception for your wedding. Food trucks are the next hot trend, period. But, we also see them becoming the next big thing for wedding catering. While the prospect may be exciting, let's take a step back and give you a few things to keep in mind if this is your caterer of choice.

While you need to keep the season in mind, there are ways to work around that. During the warmer months, you can do it outdoors either picnic-style or with tables set up under a huge white tent (for shade) or, you can even do it during the colder months, depending on whether an indoor venue lets you use your own caterer. The food truck(s) can then be stationed by the curb.

Fun Idea for a "First Look" Photo Op

{Photo by Michael Segal Photography}

This is such a cute idea, not to mention fun way, to make the "first look" moment and photo op that much more dynamically dramatic. Have the couple walk towards each other with the helium balloons in front of their face, then have them release them together and watch the surprise (or whatever other expressions) on their faces!
