The Texas Wedding Guide is in search of a well-deserving engaged couple that has been faced with a major life challenge that has kept them from being able to say “I Do”. Let us hear your story and you just may win the wedding of your dreams! The winning couple will be gifted an entire wedding package including but not limited to a ceremony and seated dinner reception for up to 150 guests on March 24, 2012 at the beautiful Omni Mandalay Las Colinas.

We will be documenting the winning couple every step of the way, the giveaway will be televised to a vast local audience. Contestants must agree to the terms and regulations found below before submitting their application and video.
Qualified hardships include:
- Extended job loss
- Financial hardships
- Debilitating illness
- Military deployment
- Death of a family member
- Sudden life-altering emergencies
Steps to Enter Contest:
- Shoot a 1 to 2 minute video about your hardship. Two minutes max please.
- Compress your video for upload (See below for link to instructions)
- Get a picture of you and your fiancée.
- Submit your application for the contest here. You will first be required to sign in or register with the Texas Wedding Guide.
- Enter your information, upload a photo of you and your fiancée, and submit your video.
- You submission and video will be approved and able for viewing within 24 hours.

- Use a video camera, smart phone camera, computer camera, etc.
- Make sure you are well lit
- Declutter the background
- Shoot in Standard Definition 640x480 or 720x480

Terms and Rules for Contestants:
The two participating contestants must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, excluding U.S. territories and must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. The couple must be engaged to be lawfully married at the time of entry and have not previously married (for purposes of these Terms and Rules for Contestants the term "lawfully married" also includes couples who intend to unite in a commitment ceremony) in a wedding. A "wedding" is also defined in this contract as a commitment ceremony. The winning couple must be willing to get married on March 24th, 2012 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and agree to having no more than 150 guests, and be willing to make the necessary time commitment to plan, promote and participate in the wedding before, during and after the actual ceremony. The couple must be of good moral character, both bride and groom must have never been convicted of a felony of any nature and/or any crime of violence. Employees and consultants of sponsors and other advertising or promotion agencies or business partners involved with or are retained to provide services in connection with the Dream Wedding Giveaway, and/or any of their respective affiliates, parent company or related entities, subsidiaries or successors of any such individuals or entities, and their respective immediate family members are NOT ELIGIBLE to enter or win the Dream Wedding Giveaway. For purposes of these Terms and Rules for Contestants "immediate family members" in this contract is defined as parents, spouses, former spouses, children, grandchildren, dependents, siblings or others similarly related to and/or those living in the same household as the employee in question.
Upon electronically signing the submission form, contestants agree to legally bestow DG Publishing, Inc., DBA’s The Texas Wedding Guide and all other participating vendors the right to distribute their film and audio to local media (local media is defined in this contract as all television and broadcast radio in the Dallas-Fort Worth area) and global media (global media is defined in this contract as the websites of all participating vendors and their certified outlets of social media as its company’s Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and YouTube accounts). As contestants continue through the selection process, contestants must agree to be filmed and photographed with participating DG Publishing, Inc., DBA The Texas Wedding Guide partners. Lastly, contestants must agree that the distribution of all photos and/or footage provided throughout the process will be at the liberty of DG Publishing, Inc., DBA’s The Texas Wedding Guide.
Couples must submit a video on txweddings.com to qualify themselves as contestants. The video must be no more than 2 minutes and accurately voice why the engaged couple deserve a free wedding giveaway. Once your video is submitted, your video will upload to the Texas Wedding Guide website within 24 hours.
