The popular trend for today's bride, when it comes to table centerpieces, is to personalize them with a themed arrangement of knick knacks. Now, there's a way to make it even more intimate, memorable, and entertaining for you and your guests.

Up the ante by correlating your table numbers to match special memories you associate with those digits! So, grab your fiancé and make a fun evening of it. This is a great way for him to have fun and help at the same time.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who tied the knot, September 9, in a quiet, close-to-the-vest ceremony in Charleston, South Carolina, are releasing their wedding photos!
Martha Stewart Weddings posted a first glimpse of the intimate affair. Admist the few photos posted, there is only one of the couple; a close-up, which shows the them holding hands, a peek at her enchanting tulle silk Marchesa gown, their rings forged by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, and the groom's Burberry suit.
The wedding bouquet, designed by Wedding's style director, Kate Berry, is drop-dead gorgeous. This lucious floral arrangement includes pink jasmine, andromeda, dusty miller, and blushing bride hydrangea. She even dipped a few petals in rose-gold glitter "to play up the embroidery of the same color on the bride's couture ballgown."

We all have a nerdy side, even those of us who do our best to hide it from the world. Find tastful, fun ways to incorporate your nerdiness into your big day. After all, it's a part of who you are, when you have the most fun and what others, who truly know you, love you for. We love how this bride showed that she loves more than the physical chemistry between her and her groom with this periodic table banner.

Creating some sort of a photo booth experience at your wedding reception or for any of your pre-wedding events is always a entertaining crowd-pleaser. Plus you get the added bonus of creating memories for laughs later, and you don't feel the pressure to "babysit" your guests. Of course, how lively and fun it will be depends on the group you're inviting; and for those who are a tad reluctant to let their goofy side out, they may just need a few more drinks or some sort of incentive.
We love thought bubble chalkboards. In fact, take it to the next level and how two or three people write out something random on the thought bubbles without consulting the other participants, and see how wacky and funny all the messages are clumped together.

We are delighted to once again present Texas-based wedding planner and superstar, Donnie Brown, Donnie Brown Weddings and Events, in his eighth installment of many upcoming, monthly contributing columns. You may know him from the popular TV show, “Whose Wedding is it Anyway?”
Well-known for his direct and vivacious personality, he is sure to keep us in stitches with his humorous opinions and sometimes, unbelievable tales from his experiences as a planner over the years. In addition, he will keep readers up-to-date on the latest bridal trends and “must haves.”
Here, in his next column, Donnie takes a brief detour from weddings to spread Christmas cheer, or should we say, fear?
Whether planning rehearsal dinners, weddings ceremonies and receptions or even honeymoon stays, in-the-know brides have learned that at Hilton Garden Inn they can have the same on-site banquet halls, delicious food and attentive service for a greater value. You can count on us to make your event a success.

Peonies have become quite the must-have flower for brides when it comes to their bouquets and floral arrangements. Who can blame them? They're a full flower, but still have a delicate, graceful air to them. They're a stunning and happy sort of flower. Unfortunately, peonies are not always in season. We recently discovered they have two seasons: Domestic and Peruvian. The Domestic peonies are in bloom from the end of May through mid June, while the Peruvian peonies bloom from the last week of November through about the second week of January.
Before you despair, take heart! We have glad tidings to share. There is this wonderful alternative flower, which almost look identical to peonies and is pretty much available all year round. You may even love this flower more than the peony. It's called a Cabbage Rose. This particular rose has a large petal count and open very similarly to peonies (or cabbages, hence the name). Look at the two photos posted above. Can you tell which bouquet is made up of peonies versus cabbage roses? We can tell you the one on the right is not made up of peonies.
So, there you have it and now you know there are alternatives/look-alikes to flowers that are not in season.

We are delighted to once again present Texas-based wedding planner and superstar, Donnie Brown, Donnie Brown Weddings and Events, in his third of many upcoming, monthly contributing columns.
Here, in his next column, Donnie lets us eavesdrop on a few exchanges between bride and groom, and things the guy will say during wedding preparations:

I have heard the groom say so many hilarious things about weddings and the planning process. It reminds me of that episode of I Love Lucy when the girls traded places with the guys for a week. Ricky and Fred found out real quick what Lucy and Ethel had to deal with day after day. Here are some of my favorites.

Mirrors add a reflective, magical, elegant element to any setting. Have you ever looked into a mirror and marveled at how you can see yourself in it? Mirrors have been used in many ways and are throughout literature, and in fairy tales. Add some chic sophistication and class to your wedding reception by notifying your guests in what they're about to partake in via menu form on a long, framed mirror.

If you're still a girl at heart, put up a row or wall of mirrors of various shapes and sizes. You're not only adding to the ambiance, but it assists guests in checking themselves in the mirror and gives parents those "eyes on the back of my head" advantage.
