Traditional Religion With a Modern Flair

Iranian wedding Watercooler Weddings and Events

Every culture celebrates their wedding differently; every culture has specific traditions they honor in ceremonies to preserve their family's values throughout each generation. At a Bermuda wedding the couple often has a little sapling tree on top of their wedding cake. After the cake is eaten, the sapling is planted at the newlywed's new home, where it grows and matures along with the couple's marriage. In Czechoslovakia, instead of rice the reception line tosses peas at the new couple as they depart the church. It symbolizes health and happiness into greener pastures. In German history, a common wedding tradition done after the wedding ceremony was having the newlywed couple work together to saw a log in half. How neatly and quickly they did it was supposed to predict how they would work together as a couple. Needless to say, there is an eclectic variety of cultures; however, it is important to incorporate and honor tradition in our modern world. Michelle Moll, at Watercooler Weddings & Events, recently had a wedding that was an amalgamation of Iranian glamour, vintage romanticism and traditional religion all rolled up into a sophisticated package.

Blending Both Worlds: (Indoor) Outdoor Venues

NOAH'S Texas Wedding Venue Indoor Outdoor

There is something to be said about getting married under breathtaking architecture and serene landscapes. Although there is the dichotomy of choosing to have an indoor or outdoor wedding, there are particular venues that are ample enough to provide the best of both worlds. Integrating both elements can produce a wedding unlike any other. NOAH'S, a premier wedding venue, is constructing a brand new location in the Dallas area that is set to open in early spring of 2012. With its dramatic atrium, divine glass ceilings, southern scenery, and tremendously awe-inspiring structure, it is a wonderful venue that encapsulates both the liberating aspect of the outdoors and the decadent comfort of NOAH’S interior.

Real Wedding Story: A Spring Affair

A spring wedding, no matter the geographic location, is always a beautiful choice. Naturally rich organic greens, lovely and angelic whites emitting from the clouds and bouncing off of bodies of water is the color palette most used in spring weddings. In Texas, we have an abundance of landscape and scenery that can make a wedding backdrop seamless and effortless. All of the natural elements mixing with light colors can elevate a wedding's aeshetic to another level. Here in today's wedding story is Christine and Tony, who both dreamed of an organic Spring wedding and a beautifully natural ceremony is what they got. After the cut read some commentary from the venue. Images courtesy of Michael Murvey.
