High school sweethearts, Courtney and Taylor, wed at the southern mansion inspired venue, The Milestone, in Denton. With a bridal party of 24, almost half being members of the Navy or Marine Corps, this was truly a wedding to remember. Aside from the bride's bouquet of jewel toned hydrangeas, white calla lilies and green orchids the couple opted for minimal decor to allow the details of the military uniforms to shine. One of my favorite personal touches was the gifts from the bride and groom to their attendants, gold glitter Toms shoes for the girls and monogrammed cigars cases for the guys. “A fairytale wedding,” was a phrase I heard uttered by guests many times throughout the day. As Courtney and Taylor exited through a tunnel of giant sparklers and drove off in a horse-drawn carriage I was reminded of Cinderella and Prince Charming and truly believe they will live happily ever after.
