We’ve been talking a lot lately about wedding branding. Today, I want to share a little colored inspiration! The color scheme that you choose for your wedding celebration is an integral part of setting the tone for your special day. As seen in the wedding story below, the use of color in the wedding brand and details has undoubtedly created the perfect mood from start to finish for the union of this beautiful couple.

Frosted Elegance
The hottest trend right now, says Donna Nino, owner of Opulent Cakes, isn’t necessarily something new, but a return to the classics with a resurgence of sweet, sophisticated and romantic themed wedding cakes. Soft, whimsical white or tone-on-tone creams and ivories are making their way to the top of the most-wanted list by Texas brides, adds Donna, who’s also incorporating the bride’s gown style (lace, rhinestones, flowers) into the design and details of their Big Day confections. Another A-list trend for stylish wedding cakes is the incorporation of fresh (rather than frosted) flowers. Using layers of flowers in between tiers adds an interesting visual element and creates a grand effect even on smaller cakes, Nino suggests. And, for the bride who loves “bling,” there’s a new product on the market… edible rhinestones! These can be purchased or made by the bakery and create the sparkling illusion of real diamonds, and since they are completely edible, there’s no hassle of removing them before serving the cake.
