It's almost as big as your big day and it's coming into town (hint: it's NOT Santa Claus) this summer, July 28 - 29 at Dallas Market Hall: the Dallas Bridal Show. If you're lacking inspiration or having a hard time finding good vendors, be sure to grab your girls (bridesmaids) and make a fun day of it. Word to the wise, don't take your fiance with you, unless he absolutely wants to go. Trust me on this one. You'll have more fun without him on this one.
The show will feature 300 of Dallas' top wedding professionals, a fashion show, the latest trends and upcoming trends, door prizes and giveaways and much more!

Brides- and grooms- to-be have been coming up with some super fun photo ideas for their “Save the Date” cards! One of the most popular things to do right now is to somehow create dialogue in the photos, like they did in the old “moving pictures” (before film had sound)!
Here are just a few fun ideas couples have been incorporating into their engagement shoots:
1) The Filmstrip: Take a series of photos, each with a different sign depicting a meaningful message or an announcement like the filmstrip pictured below.

We're excited to announce that on Sunday, June 24, from 6 to 11 p.m., JWI is hosting the Red Lips Ball – its 18th Annual June Social. Held at the W Hotel in downtown Dallas, this wedding association gala will be a time for members, as well as nonmembers, of the wedding industry to come together to network and celebrate!
This fabulous affair will feature a four-course meal, open bar, the Center Stage Band, a Celebrations Events & Entertainment DJ, a luxury live auction with roughly $15,000 worth of items, a green-screen photographer, Magician David Hira and a “red lipstick reader” – think fortune teller – who will “read” your lip prints off a piece of paper. This is also a great opportunity to meet Miss Bliss' guest blogger, Donnie Brown of Donnie Brown Weddings & Events, as he will make an appearance, since he is the DFW chapter president of JWI.
